The ERAWAN Group launches “HOP NextGen” Shares it ‘Consistency is Yours’ unique service standard and develop new talents to elevate Thai tourism and hospitality industry
The Erawan Group Public Company Limited (SET: ERW), through its affiliate Erawan Hop Inn Company Limited, developer and operator of “HOP INN” brand, a hospitality network with more than 70 branches in Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan, has launched the “HOP NextGen” initiative to guide students in hospitality and services field, helping develop new talents to elevate Thailand’s tourism sector.
The program kicked off on November 12, 2024, at Chonburi Vocational College, Chonburi province, where the initiative was piloted. Students from Vocational Certificate (Voc. Cert.) and High Vocational Certificate (High Voc. Cert.) from hospitality and tourism field attended the event to directly engage with industry professionals and experienced mentors.
On this occasion, Ms. Rungthip Phenphan, Vice President of Sustainability Development and Corporate Communications, The Erawan Group PLC., shared valuable insights on the hospitality industry. It was also an honour to have Mr. Tachawat Klinpakdee, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya Office, provided essential information on the “Tourism Direction in Chonburi Province,” emphasizing the importance of tourism in the region. The event was well-received, with participation from Chonburi Vocational College leaders and faculty members, who expressed enthusiasm for the practical training offered.
A highlight of the program included a tour of the recently opened HOP INN Si Racha, the second HOP INN branch in Chonburi, where students were introduced to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service—hallmarks of HOP INN’s “Consistency is Yours” commitment. The hotel’s manager, Ms. Atjima Jitnarong, along with Ms. Wanni Wisetwohan, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Ms. Wararat Pinbodesewin, Assistance Learning and Development Manager, provided insights into maintaining consistent, high-quality service across all HOP INN locations.
The HOP NextGen program builds on The Erawan Group’s ongoing partnerships with government agencies, private sector organizations, and communities to support sustainable tourism development. The group has spearheaded initiatives such as the “Happy Home, Happy Stay” program to enhance local homestays, the “Future People” collaboration to open career pathways for students nationwide, and the “Creative Cabinet” program, which supplies books to under-resourced school libraries. This commitment to community engagement and environmental responsibility underpins The Erawan Group’s vision for the future of sustainable tourism.
