KMITL Join forces to collaborate academically with universities in Taiwan to establish the KAISM in the EEC area, creating a curriculum to meet the needs of personnel in the field of Semiconductor in the future
Associate Professor Dr.Komson Maleesee, President of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang ( KMITL ), Along with Associate Professor Dr. Somyot Kiatiwanitchvilai, Dean of the School of Engineering, met with executives and researchers from Chang Gung University (CGU) andMing Chi University of Technology to conduct research at CGU as well as academic cooperation with Taiwanese universities and push the KMITL to become a center for reskilling/upskilling in the field of Smart Electronics in the future.
The President also discussed with the management and personnel of the Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM) Center at “National Cheng Kung University (NCKU),” which is a leading university in Taiwan. The discussion was on the establishment of the KMITL Academy of Innovative SemiconductorSemiconductor Manufacturing (KAISM) in Chachoengsao Province in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project area, creating a curriculum to meet the needs of SemiconductorSemiconductor and smart Electronics skills to meet the needs of personnel in this field of the global market in the future. Associate Professor Dr. Komson Maleesee, President of KMITL, said that cooperation with National Cheng Kung University, a leading university in Taiwan, to drive the Smart Electronics curriculum is essential for the development of the economy and industry at the global level. Both institutions will focus on designing courses to be a center for developing skills and knowledge related to Smart Electronics and Semiconductor. This partnership allows Thai students to gain knowledge from world-class experts. In particular, there is an opportunity to practice from practical experience, to enhance the potential with internships in the industrial sector, and to create a critical learning experience that will enable graduates who have graduated to have a career path that is in line with Thailand’s economic development to prepare for the development of the curriculum together.
