AEON Thailand Foundation grants scholarships in 2023 aiming for enhancing equitable education
AEON Thailand Foundation together with AEON 1% Club Foundation and AEON Groups in Thailand held the AEON Scholarship 2023 awarding ceremony for Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University students with good academic performance, good conduct and financial needs. The ceremony was participated by Mr. Yoshiki Mori, Chairman of AEON 1% Club Foundation, Ms. Suporn Wattanavekin, Chairperson of AEON Thailand Foundation, Mr. Tsutomu Omodera, Managing Director of AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Mr. Masatoshi Omoto, Managing Director of AEON (Thailand) Company Limited, and Mr. Ryota Seki, Managing Director of AEON TOPVALU (THAILAND) Company Limited. A total of 32 scholarships worth 2,240,000 million baht were received by students led by Associate Professor Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University and Associate Professor Pakorn Varanusupakul Ph.D., Assistant to the President of Student Affairs, Chulalongkorn University.
AEON Thailand Foundation and AEON Groups in Thailand have been granting scholarships since 2010 and this marks the 14th year of intention to support and uplift the quality of life, focusing on education which is a fundamental of empowering people in the society. This is in line with the foundation’s goal to ensure equal and inclusive accessibility of quality education, as well as lifelong learning encouragement.
