Huawei Thailand Presents Smart Classroom Technological Equipment and Brings Digital Bus to Surin, Addressing Educational Inequality in Remote Areas
Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. continues its collaboration with the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Projects to advance the use of information technology to enhance educational opportunities and promote good health among children and youth.
The “Huawei CSR Digital Bus” project, which is part of this initiative, was recently showcased when Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Ban Cham Pado Border Patrol Police School in Bua Chet District, Surin Province, to oversee the project’s progress and provide digital skills training to students in remote areas.
During the visit, Mr. Edison Xu, Board Director of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., along with his team, reported on the project’s progress and demonstrated the Smart Classroom system through an online video conference (Huawei Cloud Meeting) with participating schools. The demonstration included showcasing the use of information technology and teaching methods for students on the Digital Bus.
On this occasion, Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. donated IT equipment, including 40 Huawei tablets, 2 Huawei routers, and 1 set of IdeaHub smart screen with Huawei Cloud Meeting system, to support the Royal Project’s educational development efforts. This donation aims to enhance educational opportunities for children and youth in remote areas, in line with the Royal Initiative.
This year, Huawei has incorporated the principles of sufficiency economy into the Digital Bus curriculum, tailored to local schools. The curriculum includes equal access to technology, responsible use of the internet, and awareness of 5G, IoT, Cloud, AI, and cybersecurity. It also promotes awareness of clean energy, renewable technologies, and green energy, contributing to community development.

After observing the Smart Classroom demonstration, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously signed a message of encouragement, highlighting the importance of using technological innovation to promote ethical principles through digital wisdom. This aligns with Huawei’s mission to support social and environmental responsibility for a sustainable green world, consistent with its 25-year commitment to Thailand.
To date, Huawei has collaborated with the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Projects to provide 24 IdeaHub devices and Huawei Cloud Meeting systems for remote teaching and telemedicine, as well as solar energy storage systems for border patrol police schools and local health centers throughout Thailand.
In addition to this project, Huawei Thailand has also conducted training programs to enhance public and youth understanding of digital technology through initiatives such as the Huawei ASEAN Academy, ICT Academy, and Seeds for the Future.
