Ms. Piyasuda Kwaennonsee, Head of Human Resources “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, stated, “One of KTC’s Sustainable Development (SD) policies is to provide educational opportunities and help develop the potential of Thai youth in various fields without limits. To create a sustainable Thai society, KTC has partnered with Live Impact Events Company Limited, one of its partners, to organize the ‘KTC COOP Guides Young Learners in Discovering Da Vinci’s Legacy Through Sign Language’ activity at ICONSIAM for hearing-impaired children from Setthasathien School under the Royal Patronage. This initiative aims to open up a learning experience through the timeless legacy of Leonardo da Vinci, a genius ahead of his time by 500 years. Da Vinci, known for masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, was also an inventor, designer, musician, mathematician, and scientist. He is recognized as the ‘polymath’ of the Renaissance and one of the greatest geniuses in world history. The children will explore Leonardo’s achievements, life, and ingenuity in science, creativity, and technical thinking through various artifacts, ancient texts, and paintings by Renaissance masters. Leonardo’s influence spans science, art, engineering, and mathematics, showcasing new forms of invention and curiosity about the world. During the activity, seniors and students from the KTC COOP program acted as mentors who guided the children throughout the event.”
KTC COOP (KTC Cooperative Program) partners with various universities’ cooperative education programs, offering students from many fields of study opportunities to experience and practice working with a team of financial business professionals. The KTC COOP project, which started in 2023, has attracted over 100 students from the Thai and international programs. In addition to providing the opportunity to gain real work experience, KTC aims to develop the new generation to enter the working world confidently and prepare them for the working world post-project, through training courses and activities to enhance competency soft skills, including job interview preparation techniques. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in the company’s social activities.
