The Wai Khru Ceremony is a traditional Thai ritual that has been practiced since ancient times. It is a way to honor and show gratitude for the teachings and guidance of teachers. This ceremony is a symbol of the student’s desire to become a direct disciple of their teacher, as it is the teacher who imparts knowledge, thoughts, wisdom, and guides the way for their students. As a result, the tradition of Teacher’s Day has been carried on to the present day.
