The University of Phayao collaborates with EEF, PMU A, and TK Park to organize the “Learning City, Future City'” project for the new generation of city administrators.
The University of Phayao, in collaboration with the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), the Program Management Unit on Area Based Development (PMU A), and the Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park), is organizing the project “Learning City, Future City” as part of the City Administrator Course, Class 2. This event will take place from June 21-23, 2024, at TK Park @Central World. The project aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the new generation of city administrators in city management and to create a network of individuals interested in sustainable city development. Associate Professor Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President, will serve as the moderator for the discussion “Exchange Knowledge: Learning City, Future City,” which will cover the following themes:
- Issue 1: Driving the learning city and promoting continuous learning among citizens.
- Speakers: Mr. Naphol Chayanonphakdi, Mayor of Tak, and Mr. Poonkiat Phuttharak, Deputy Mayor of Udon Thani.
- Issue 2: Lifelong Learning: Experiences from Real Learning.
- Speaker: Dr. Khemanit Jamikorn (Pancake), famous actress and host.
- Issue 3: Practical Experience of Learning Politics at the Local Level.
- Speaker: Mr. Poonkiat Phuttharak, Deputy Mayor of Udon Thani.
- Moderator: Associate Professor Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President.
- Discussion Participant: Mr. Wattanachai Winichakul, Acting Assistant Director of TK Park.
In addition to this event, there were also other activities taking place:
- A photography exhibition, “Learning City, Future City”
- Exhibits showcasing photos and ideas for developing a learning city for the future
- A session on measuring and evaluating students, presented by Associate Professor Dr. Sanit Srikoon from the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University.
- CO CREATION WORKSHOP, presented by Associate Professor Dr. Peeradorn Kaewlai from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University.
