The University of Phayao is proud to announce the launch of the Phayao Smart Health Community Application.
The University of Phayao and the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization have a shared vision of creating a livable city, strengthening community, and improving the quality of life for its residents. On January 25th, 2023, they signed a cooperation agreement (MOU) to jointly develop project proposals for the “Development of Information Systems for Management and Public Health Policy Proposals for Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals Under the Administration of the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization.” This research project will focus on conducting action research and implementing effective management mechanisms. The project will involve collaboration with various partners, including 54 Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals in Phayao Province, the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization, the University of Phayao, and the University of Phayao Hospital. Through this collaboration, the project aims to create policy guidelines, facilitate government investment planning, and establish a learning model for the city based on cooperation.
On May 28th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, along with Associate Professor Dr. Thitirath Cheosuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning, Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, Vice President for University Communications, administrators, and university personnel, participated in the delivery ceremony and launch of the Phayao Smart Health Community application. This application is part of the research project “Upgrading the Management Mechanism of the Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital under the Management of the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization.” The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Akara Prompow, the President of the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization, at the Phayao Provincial Community Hall. This project received funding from the Program Management Unit on Area-Based Development (PMU A) for the fiscal year 2023 and was delivered to 54 subdistrict health promotion hospitals in Phayao Province. This marks an important milestone in improving the public health system of Phayao Province, providing a high-quality and up-to-date public health information system that can effectively plan public health activities, set policies and budgets, and systematically monitor potential threats. This initiative is a response to the needs of the community and society and aligns with the vision of the university to “Create Wisdom for Sustainable Community Development with Innovations of International Standards.” The ultimate goal is to create a city with a sustainable quality of life and social well-being.
