The University of Phayao has established a partnership with the Chitose Institute of Science and Technology in Japan for academic and research collaborations.
On May 21st, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, and Professor Dr. Yoshikatsu Miyanaka, President of the Chitose Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, signed a memorandum of understanding for academic and research cooperation between their institutions. The signing was witnessed by Professor Samur Thanoi, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Assistant Professor Dr. Pornthep Rojanavasu, Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, who provided details on the objectives of the agreement. The event took place at the Professor Dr. Mondhon Sanguansermsri Conference Room on the second floor of the University of Phayao Hospital.
This memorandum of understanding aims to expand partnerships and promote cooperation in academics and research. This includes promoting the exchange of faculty and personnel between our institutions, student exchange programs, information sharing, and research tool and equipment utilization. Additionally, the agreement aims to facilitate joint research projects, seminars, academic conferences, and other meetings related to current and future research topics.
