“UP EMPOWERMENT 2023” is a Training Course specifically designed to Enhance the Skills and Abilities of Directors and Supervisors. The Program, which is Being Held at the University of Phayao, is currently in its First Class.
The University of Phayao is dedicated to supporting the growth of directors and supervisors as part of its strategy to establish a modern management system characterized by efficiency, transparency, and good governance. To achieve this objective, the university has organized the UP EMPOWERMENT 2023 training project, with Class 1 scheduled to take place from March 5th to 7th, 2024, at Phuklong Hills in Phayao Province. Additionally, community activities will be held from March 11th to 15th, 2024. A meeting to review the project’s outcomes for participants will be held on March 20th, 2024, in the conference room of the University of Phayao.
On March 6th, 2024 at 1:00 P.M., Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the opening of Class 1 of the UP EMPOWERMENT 2023 training project at Phuklong Hills in Phayao Province. Mr. Sombat Lek Singh, Director of the Division of Personnel, reported on the project’s objectives, which include providing participants with insights into higher education administration paradigms, enhancing team management principles in changing contexts, strengthening communication skills, and facilitating effective policy implementation. The event was attended by 164 participants and was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Warakorn Samkoset, a member of the University Council, Professor Dr. Samur Thanoi, the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Professor Pratompong Thongrod, the Vice President for Legal and Property, and Assistant Professor Dr. Somkid Juwa, the Dean of the School of Public Health. They served as lecturers alongside a team including Professor Udomsak Jiragarnkulgasame and Mr. Sarawut Kantaphongphet from the School of Law. The activities were designed to raise awareness among participants about the scope of work in higher education administration, equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to professionally manage and adapt to the rapidly changing economic, political, social, and technological landscapes.
The training project for Class 1 of UP EMPOWERMENT 2023, aimed at developing the potential of directors and supervisors, is considered a pivotal initiative in fostering collaborative relationships and cultivating shared values. It serves as a preparation for navigating the evolving contexts of Thai and global societies, with the ultimate goal of steering towards becoming a university dedicated to sustainable development.
