The students majoring in Geographic Information Science and ICT received a Certificate of Excellence in Geo-informatics Innovation (GI) at the 16th TSG Event
The School of Information and Communication Technology at the University of Phayao is pleased to congratulate Mr. Saifa Sarutruangchai, a fourth-year student in Geographic Information Science, for receiving the Certificate of Excellence for his work titled “Google Application for Social Welfare Work of Administrative Organizations in Khek Noi Street, Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province.” This prestigious award was granted during the oral presentation session of the Geoinformatics Innovation Group (GI) at the 16th Thailand Geography and Geoinformatics Student Academic Conference, held from February 24th to 25th, 2024, at Chiang Mai University. Assistant Professor Dr. Wipop Paengwangthong served as his advisor.
The Academic Conference for Geography and Geoinformatics students in Thailand plays a crucial role by providing a platform for students and higher education individuals from various universities to showcase their academic endeavors through Oral and Poster Presentations. It also serves as a forum for the exchange of academic knowledge and experiences, fostering collaboration among educators and students from diverse institutions. The Geoinformatics Innovation (GI) group spearheads research projects focused on the development or application of spatial data processing concepts on cloud platforms (Geospatial cloud computing), geospatial programming (Geoinformatics programming), spatial databases (Spatial Database), utilization of the Spatial Internet of Things (IoTs), big data processing (Big Data), Spatial Decision Support Systems, and the development of spatial modeling or digital virtual worlds (Digital Twin) to facilitate systematic spatial problem-solving.
