Bank of America, with EDF Foundation, hold school Volunteer Day

Bank of America, in cooperation with EDF Foundation, recently organized “Volunteer Day” for their managers and staff to do improvement work at Wat Pakchong School in Jombueng district, Ratchaburi province.

Ms. Nida Pakdeekulsampan, senior vice president operations of Bank of America said, “Since the COVID-19 pandemic over  two years ago, this is the first time Bank of America is able to organize CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Volunteer Day activities for our managers and staff at Wat Pakchong School in Ratchaburi province, which is one of the recipients of Bank of America’s CSR project.

“Everyone enjoyed working with teachers and students planting trees, repainting floors and playground equipment. We did DIY making picture frames, mobile phone holders and others from ice-cream sticks, making decorative key chains from resin. Spending our free time playing with the students was fun.

“I would like to thank EDF Foundation, our partner for Career and Environmental Development Project with schools in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi provinces, in coordinating the Volunteer Day at the school. It was truly a memorable and fun experience for all of Bank of America volunteers. Seeing the students smile, laugh and enjoy the moment with us was pure joy.”

Mrs. Rungtiwa Poramujvirot, director of Wat Pakchong School, Ratchaburi province, said, “I would like to thank Bank of America management and staff for organizing the Volunteer Day with our students and teachers. I would like also to thank EDF Foundation for coordinating these activities. Bank of America is the first organization holding activities in our school following COVID-19 pandemic.”

Pemika Samer-im, student representative from Mattayom Sueksa 2 of the school, said, “I leaned many new things today. Students were very happy to witness of all volunteers’ effort during their weekend doing several activities for the betterment of our school. We were also able to play games, do DIY products inventing practical things from ice-cream sticks and making key chains from resin. We had fun time and were really happy.”

Pasit Yodkaew from Mattayom Sueksa 1 of the school said, “My friends and I love volunteer work at our school. We help plant trees, repaint things and so on. They make our school beautiful. We promise to take good care of the trees and all other renovated equipment.”
